Description of the job offer
The Automotive Parts Counter Attendant works in a fast-paced environment. He (She) supports accredited auto mechanics in finding and supplying the right parts for the repair of auto center automobiles. This position involves the use of computerized automotive parts and service research systems, which includes repair order quotes, ordering, and controlling and maintaining inventory accuracy Responding to and managing repair requests promptly information and concerns from internal and external customers. Ensure that the auto center team optimizes the customer experience by quickly sourcing, stocking and supplying the correct vehicle parts as requested by customers or accredited auto mechanics.
Provide services to accredited auto mechanics and process their requests for parts and tires.
Liaise with auto center counter staff and notify them immediately of receipt of parts and tire orders. Source and order automotive parts, shop supplies and products from authorized vendors. Follow the procedure for ordering and selling parts and tires at the auto center counter. Verify accuracy of vehicle, part and tire information for research and ordering. Estimate the price and availability of parts and tires. Know the location of the goods in the warehouse.
Maintain and control inventory accuracy, including specialist shop tools.
Verify the accuracy of all external orders ensuring correct item designations and numbers. Walks through assigned sections to determine work to be done on a daily basis. Replenish parts and tire areas with stock received.
Check batteries, starters and alternators. Take care of the battery filling station according to the training received. Liaise with auto center counter staff to ensure accuracy of estimates and professional presentation. Ensure compliance with cleanliness standards for workstations and stock areas, as well as those for reception and the work area. Responsible for stocking shelves in storage areas. Prohibit access to the warehouse, parts and tire stocks to unauthorized persons. Process returns, warranties and trade-ins as required. Assist in answering phone calls as needed.
