We have a PERMANENT opportunity for a Machine Operator near Bramalea & Drew in the Mississauga area with prominent production and distribution company who specializes in academic, consumer and business products that are used around the world.
This opportunity is a direct hire role, not contract or temp work. In this role as a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for duties such as loading raw materials, changing dies, punches and knives. Job Title: Machine Operator (working on 2 machines: Kempsmith and Bielomatik)
Duration: DIRECT HIRE
Location: Drew and Bramalea (Mississauga)
Start time: Mornings, afternoons and nights (ROTATING EVERY 2 WEEKS)
Wage: $22.28/hr – $23.44/hr

Responsibilities
General Duties:
– Loading raw materials (inks, paper, cardboard) into machines and monitor and control their flow
– Changing the dies, punches and knives on the machines
– Performing changeovers daily and weekly
– Perform routine machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication of parts)
– Complete production records and reporting to keep track of production output and downtime
– Inspect products for defects to ensure adherence to company quality standards
– Lifting up to 30-50lbs depending on the material/product in a fast-paced environment
– Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
– Eligible to work in Canada
– Minimum 1 year production experience in a fast paced environment
– Engineering students with practical experience (asset)
– Mechanically inclined
– Problem solving skills
– Good communication
– Must be able to work rotating shifts
– Must be comfortable with doing repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads at times
